During the 2006 football season, netSCOPE worked with area high schools to produce CoachCam, to provide a unique live experience.

Sample Clips: Team gets a First Down Walking along the Sidelines Team gets a Touchdown!! Highlights: Unabtrusive camera was worn by the head coach during the duration of the game. Easy-access Kill Swicth allowed the coach to stop the video feed during strategy sessions. Audio feed provided by local radio stations with on-field annoucers providing the play by play Audio and video feeds were archived for coach review and playback highlights Internet access provided by EVDO data cards (bandwidth varied by location)

Here's how it works:

We place a small bullet or board camera on our "host" - perhaps in a baseball cap, on a lapel, embedded in a mascot, or on any piece of clothing. The camera is connected to a small, lightweight system that will encode the video feed. Live streaming images and sound then transmit to a web site where fans can see what their host is seeing; from the vantage point of a coach, athlete, fan, or celebrity.

CAMMAN uses several forms of wireless broadband access and seamlesly chooses the best bandwidth possible. This allows the host to be untethered to a location. Whether its a broadband Wi-Fi connection, or a cell phone signal, CAMMAN will continue to broadcast as the host is on the move, automatically switching between network sources and adjusting the video quality based on the available bandwidth.
