How It Works

Install your cameras to monitor your custom views. Cameras grab a color image every few seconds. Images are transmitted to an on-site computer and then sent to your web site or our hosting page. You can watch for as long and as often as you like. An unlimited number of individuals may access the same camera simultaneously. All you need is a password and any version of Netscape 3.0 or Internet Explorer 3.0., or higher.

What You See

The screen is made up of a live, still color picture. Redraw rate is contingent upon the number of cameras employed at the same location. One camera updates a 3x4, 24 bit color image approximately every 5 seconds over standard telephone lines. Lenses can be fixed focal length or have manually controlled zoom capabilities. Auto iris lenses are available to satisfy complex lighting situations. Pan and tilt options are available. Sound transmission is possible with a third party sound card and a separate telephone line.

netSCOPE "Business Service" requires the purchase of netSCOPE hardware, a netSCOPE account and internet access. Telephone costs and fees associated with your Internet service provider are extra.

When you purchase netSCOPE's MEDUSA we will host your images free for three months.

Hardware installation may be performed by a trained netSCOPE technician. We will work with you to install your hardware to your exact specifications with regard to camera placement, camera views and server location. We will work with your Internet service provider to ensure your connection is properly installed.

A hardware maintenance plan is available.

After hardware installation is completed, an Internet account is active and the phone line connected. You may access images on your web site or ours.

Hosting Service

If you need a web page to display your images, netSCOPE would be pleased to host your images on our site. We offer a standard viewing template or we will design a page to your custom specifications.

The Cost

netSCOPE "Business Hosting Service" is $34.95 per month, per site. Camera views are accessed through netSCOPE's home page. Remember; if you refer a new account, netSCOPE will credit you one month of service.
